How can we purchase direct mutual funds for minors online?
As far as I know Zerodha doesn’t. What you can do is to open a minor demat, invest in your name and then gift those units to the minor.
Is it possible now to invest direct MF in the name of minor now using Coin. Looking for investing via SIP into Index fund. Or still only possible via gifting method which i’m not inclined towards.
The guardian will have to invest in mutual funds and then make an off-market transfer into the minor’s Demat account. Explained here.
Also, making off-market transfer is easy now using CDSL Easiest. More details here.
