Incorrect details in Holdings

I had purchased MCDOWELL-N shares from NSE on 17-Nov-2020 . But in my holdings in kite it shows like the shares were purchased from BSE with symbol name as UNITDSPR. Has anyone faced this issue . How to resolve this ?

This support page explains why this happens -

The stocks in your demat account don’t have any exchange mapped to them. You can sell them either on NSE or BSE, regardless of which exchange you bought the stocks. Your Kite holdings will reflect the exchange price where the previous closing was higher.

In case you are interested, the concept of interoperability of exchanges is also explained in detail in the following thread -

There is no issue, Holdings in Kite reflect exchange where previous closing price was higher, so if closing price was higher on BSE it will show as BSE and vice-versa if closing price was higher on NSE. We have explained the same in detail here.

Little confusion with United Spirits stock is it has different symbols on NSE “MCDOWELL-N” and BSE “UNITDSPR”, but the shares are same, so you don’t have to worry about anything.

Thanks @ShubhS9 @Prayag .
