suppose 1 have 100 icici shares in my demat account which i dont want to sell
and tommorow i want to short sell 100 shares and will buy it back throught the day when the price reduces
will the 100 shares be sold from my demat account or what is the way to achieve this.

If you sell those shares from your demat (CNC) and buy back in CNC. It will be an Intraday trade and demat holding won’t be affected.

Yes. It is one way to short the shares which the Brokerages wont allow us to do. No impact on the Demat AC if it is intraday.
