What happens to my holdings if my broker is expelled from the exchange and their trading terminal is disabled?

I want to know what happens to all the securities investors had with the broker in such case.

broker is not suppose to keep your purchased securities with him if all your dues are clear.If you have securities in your demat account ,the broker is not involved and even in such case as cited by you ,your demat is 100 % safe as the securities in demat are held by NSDL or CDSl.

Hi there my question is that I have a demate account with some broking company. Now a day some issue are there with this company.I think the company is closed.not picking the phone.I want to retrieve my holdings around 2.5 lakhs with the same broker.how can i do that?whom i can submit my cmr?
