I purchased some shares of Equitas as CNC. After few hours it reached to my target and I sold all on the same day. Later the stock hit upper circuit. Does this mean that I have done short selling?
If your exit order is complete then your position is squared-off. So you haven’t done short selling. Also Equitas is F&O stock and Circuit Limit is immediately removed in F&O stocks, so you don’t have to worry.

No it is not short selling. It will be considered as intraday even if you bought and sold in CNC type in same day.
