Hey team,
why doesn’t Zerodha provide indicator alerts or alerts on indicators? Currently, alerts are provided on price and I have seen in this community that users suggest using streak.tech for alerts on indicator, but I have found it to be a bit unreliable and also they don’t provide alerts on a weekly timeframe.
My requirement is pretty lean, I need an alert when RSI(5) drops below 50.
Can anyone suggest me how to do that or whether Zerodha plans to implement this feature in the near future? Honestly, I was expecting this with the new workplace update, but alas!!
Hi @Sivam_Sakunia , could yu please provide more details? Tagging @streak here.
We’ve noted your feedback on indicator alerts within Kite. It’s on our list of things to do. Thanks
Streak doesn’t provide email alerts for the alert trigger. They don’t have an app that can send you push notifications. At the very least, since they have partnered with Zerodha, they could send a notification in Zerodha when the alert triggers.
The only one time, i received a notification was a chrome push notification since I was online on my laptop. I don’t know how it would work if I am not on my laptop or away. (For reference, Zerodha sends email/app notifications when a alert is triggered). How @streak does it?
Another annoying thing, is they don’t support weekly timeframe. Say, i play pullbacks on weekly, and I am waiting for the weekly RSI(5) to drop below 50. I don’t see an option on the streak interface for that condition.
Kindly note that Streak can be accessed on both desktop and mobile browsers (web app). To receive real-time alerts, you can enable push notifications from your Streak profile settings and ensure that browser notifications (for example, Chrome notifications) are turned on. This way, even when you’re using Streak on your phone via a browser, alerts will continue to be delivered in real time.
Also, support for the weekly timeframe is currently in the pipeline and is being actively worked on by the team. We will notify users as soon as this feature becomes available.
Additionally, we’re pleased to share that the new Streak app is currently under development and is scheduled to launch in the last week of May on both iOS and Android.
