At what is the AMA on youtube today?

We’ll post the AMA along with other updates by next week.

Hmm… they are not vertically aligned.

@Arockiya_Raja, can you check on this?

LIFO isn’t going to be possible. That said, we are working on a secondary demat account where you can keep long term holdings that you don’t intend to sell. Transfer from primary to secondary.

@nithin Is it possible to get access to a demo web server to test WebSocket and the Kite API before committing to a subscription? This would help us to avoid any time lost after subscribing.
The server data can be from any date of your choice.

Hello!
Your product interface, simplicity and usability is one of the best. No doubt about it. even the console section for reports is quite good. But, I think the team needs to be more realistic about feature timelines and whether they will implement it at all or not.

For instance, i for one have repeatedly posted about trade wise charges report. Every FY end it’s a pain to compile the taxes and charges. The summary tax reports may not suffice the need; many times only raw data helps. And it’s impractical to raise a request everytime this report is needed.

It’s a years old issue and the only response here in the forum’s has been ‘…it’s on the to do list…’.
I suggest the team should highlight if it has been deprioritized due to technical issues or other reasons.

Secondly, one feature request I would like to place is about virtual portfolios. Tags is a way to do this but currently it’s only relevant in the Console section. Pls consider and evaluate this. It will remove any reasons people may have to open multiple broker accounts to track short term, long term, different strategies portfolios!

Edit: one more feature request - watchlist export and import; and watchlist sync between desktop and mobile.
This should be simple to implement and keep users on your platform rather than jump to different charting platforms.

Thanks and cheers

In my opinion, this is best served by using multiple brokers. The tax reports will also be completely different for each of your broker, simplifying it a lot.

Yeah, my suggestion caters only to tracking needs. Small to mid sized traders may have multiple positions that they want to track in different buckets. I have found this feature on the IBKR desktop trading app in a slightly convoluted manner but it’s immensely helpful to keep sanity in a volatile market.

The Coin web earlier had displayed P/L for every transaction for any given MF.
I got a reply that this feature will be back soon. Is there any ETA ?
I can see the P/L from the mobile app, I can’t understand why this feature was discontinued from web in the first place, but continues to be supported in app only ?

Is Zerodha actively trying to become the largest broker in terms of active clients, after it has lost to companies like Groww ? And it appears Angel One looks to displace Zerodha for the second position in the next few months ?

This is on our to-do list, but it’ll take some time to go live.

@Neelesh ?

We don’t look only at user growth. It is more in terms of revenue and profitability. We are way ahead of the two brokers you have mentioned here concerning that. But that said, the user growth seems to be because of content and SEO strategy. We have upped our game significantly and for sure had let go of the advantage.
