Amalgamation of Tata Steel BSL and Tata Steel Ltd

Hi Team,
I was Holding 450 Tata Steel BSL Shares, so i suppose to receive 30 Tata Steel shares, till now i didn’t see the Tata Steel shares in my Zerodha Portfolio.

When will the Tata Steel shares will show in my Portfolio ??

The timeline by which shares will be credited is not known yet. Will update here once there is any update from the company.

The shares of Tata Steel BSL have been suspended from trading, so these won’t reflect in holdings anymore. As your friend is holding shares less than the ratio announced by the company. This will be cash settled. Here’s how the process works in the case of fractional entitlement:

The board of directors of the transferee company will consolidate all the fractional shares and allot these to a trustee appointed by the board. Who will then sell the shares in the market at the prevailing market price and after this the funds according to one’s fractional entitlement will be credited to your bank account.
