Any alternative to Tradescript in Pi?

I believe Tradescript programming is very limited while creating any custom indicator/strategy. Any specific reason, why the tradescript from NEST platform was retained even though Pi was developed as a mix of FXCM and MultiCharts platforms.?

Is there going to be any alternative to tradescript in the future?

you can use Amibroker AFL and can connect your Amibroker with Pi by using Pi bridge.
