Are basket order and bracket order one and same?

Also can you please tell me if i place one bracket order for quantity 200 then if 150 exec @ price a and 50 exec@ price b then will the brokerage be charged for single order or two orders? [I have placed a single order only but as the order is market it may exec against more than one buyer/seller]

bracket order and basket orders are different.

as per the above if you have palaced bracket order for 200 quantity, if it executes at 2 different prices, as per above, it will consider as two different individual orders.

khkrishna2,

No, Bracket order and Basket order both are different.

You entry order will be one. but your SL and target will be two different orders. ANd brokerage will be charged for 3 orders.(ie 1 entry order, 2 exit orders)

thanks for the info! Can you please explain me what is a basket order ?

hello muthu,
but the basic concept of bracket order is it’s an OCO order[One cancels other]. Hence if one is executed other automatically gets cancelled ryt ? so there will be brokerage for only one exit order i guess.
My doubt is for the entry point. Are you sure that even if it executes at n different prices as i have placed a single buy order will it charge me only one entry brokerage fee ?
