Are companies manipulating quarterly results?

Are companies manipulating quarterly results to create price fluctuations to favour institutional investors?
For example, canfin homes poor result was possibly to make retailers exit so that institutions can accumulate then announce the news of Canara Bank selling it’s canfin homes stake?
Also, kitex announced bad result sending stock price down making many exit. Now, the stock is back to higher level!
So, can we rely on any queerly result ? We can’t take contrarian bet also because may be some are genuine results .

Looking at their charts, can’t say if results were manipulated for institutional investors. Institutions seem to have bought where they were supposed to have bought… the charts show that. Looks like results were bad and prices fell to institution’s buy levels and then prices reversed from there due to huge buying at these levels. Regarding the news announcement, well that’s a grey area difficult to comment upon…

results are audited by certified charted accountant if they can be manipulated we cant trust anything in company.
