I think this indicator get more credit than it deserves.
After all it is just the difference b/w avg of High and Low’s moving average of 5 and 34 period.
If you look at supertrend, macd or adx, and some other indicators with account volume with price, it servers far better.
Awesome oscillator with some volume based or trend indicators are generally a good combination in my view.
