Bank Account Linkage with Zerodha

If I link a bank account (Allahabad Bank) which is not in the list of partner banks, then I can transfer fund through net banking (this is what the support team told) but I wanted to check what will happen when I receive a dividend or when I want to withdraw funds.

Usually dividends will go directly to your direct Bank Account like ICICI, HDFC etc.

If you place a withdrawl request from Trading cum Demat account, that will get transferred to your Bank account like ICICI, HDFC etc in 2 days maximum, minimum 1 day.

Since you say Allahabad bank is not a partner bank, please wait until someone from zerodha replies.

All the withdrawal requests are processed through NEFT, so it doesn’t matter if its in the list of partner banks or not.

In case of dividends it is also processed to bank account linked to your demat account directly by Company.

Partner banks matter only while doing a payin through Instant payment gateway, wherein you need to transfer funds instantly.

Thanks, nicely answered.

Is it possible to link NRE bank account to Zerodha Account?

This is not allowed, if you are moving abroad you can however convert your existing Zerodha account to NRI account, the process for the same has been explained here.
