What is the maximum limit of banknifty and nifty one can buy in a single order…Like maximum how many lots/quantites we can buy in a single order?
There is a Quantity Freeze Limits for all derivative contracts as set by the exchange to avoid fat finger trades and for smooth/better execution etc…
At the current index level;
7500 Qty for Nifty index and
2500 Qty for Bank Nifty.
This is the maximum qty you can place in a single order. you need to place multiple orders if qty is more than these limits, make sure you have enough margin.
Maximum number of lots/quantities purchasable in a single order changes as per the Index levels defined in the Quantity Freeze limits by NSE
