I am a first time option buyer. i hold BANKNIFTY JUN 23000 PE and not BANKNIFTY 1stJUN 23000 PE. as on 1st jun 2017 as it is weekly expiry, do i have to square off my BANKNIFTY JUN 23000 PE.
No. You do not have to square off on the 1st of june. you have till the last Thursday of the month. i.e. the 29th of june to square off your position.

Please avoid option buy for weekly trading, as premium will come down too fast in weekly Option.
