Is it better to book profit now , How much perc of max profit I have to target while doing option (learning stage) …
My assumption was Nifty may go upto 23500 .

Your thesis has come true, but the trade hasn’t paid off as you expected. :face_with_monocle:
A bear put spread has some negative theta, so holding it longer would eat away at your premium. :stopwatch:

To profit more off this trade you need:

  • either a continuation of the move downward :chart_decreasing:
  • hold it to expiry (dangerous as you could take max loss) and have the index stay well below the BEP. :spiral_calendar:
  • Give yourself more time to be right next time - choose monthly or next month expiry.
  • Target 50% of the max profit.
  • Close the trade at the midpoint of the contract duration.
