Yes right

Losses are a part and parcel of learning in the market, I believeā€¦
Anyways, I hope @Chandrakant_Landge you are fineā€¦

You can launch a complaint against the broker in question in NSE or BSE grievance cell.

Yes, this is the only option I have. Not sure if it will help.

May be Iā€™m wrong, but should it not be the case that Zerodha RMS should have auto squared off your position if the stock had started hovering around UC?
Could have saved you and Zerodha from any troubleā€¦?

I think Zerodha is not doing itā€¦

How can it be??
I donā€™t think so.
Rms is integral to every broker.
Can someone with knowledge guide in this context?
Request to someone from Zerodha team to share knowledgeā€¦

When stock itā€™s an upper circuit, there are only buyers for such stocks and no sellers. If one has a short position, this cannot be squared-off as there are no sellers to buy back the sold shares. If one doesnā€™t hold shares in their demat account, then this leads to short delivery. This article explains it in detail: What will happen to my intraday (MIS/CO) position in case the stock circuit limits are hit?

Thanks for the responseā€¦
My query was, whether it was possible for rms to square off the position before stock hit uc?
Like when stock was hovering around UCā€¦
For broker and customer bothā€¦it can be beneficial I believe, if thatā€™s possibleā€¦
Correct me if I am wrongā€¦I donā€™t have thorough knowledge on this.
Thank you

Itā€™s not possible to predict the movement of stock. If we take a call and square off the position when it near to circuit there is a chance again the stock may recover. This will lead to loss for clients and broker will be hold responsible.

Thank you @Ragavendran_M for your response.
Yes sir, you are correct.
But the consequences of RMS not squaring off such positions are even worseā€¦
It poses lot of risk to customer and broker bothā€¦
Specially, when the position is huge and the client has shorted the stock he/she does not possessā€¦
I believe @d_p would have happily accepted that loss as compared to what she has suffered nowā€¦

May be, the system can start throwing UC risk notifications to clients in short positions so that they may cover their positionsā€¦
Clients themselves also can put alertsā€¦
But the problem with clients I believe is that they can find it difficult to cover their position in loss and may be would want to sit in hope of reversalā€¦
But timely UC risk notifications to shorters can help I feelā€¦
Thanks for your responseā€¦

Thatā€™s right I will be happy to occur losses same day if system auto square off my position but it didnā€™t. Also it is strange that no upper circuit alert were flashingā€¦ anyhow my losses are huge and now I am arranging money to payback to zerodha as I have no money leftā€¦

Exchange shares auction report with brokers which has below information:

https://www.nseindia.com/products-services/equity-market-data-reports-download

We as a client donā€™t have access of it. If we can have this data we can easily understand that auction happened or not

I would never want broker to take decision like this. If i am short and continue my short my view is that it will fall. Why allow briker to square off.

Going through your messages on this situation over the last few days
i would just like to add that now i find your resolve very impressive. :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

I believe you are approaching this as -

" Whatā€™s done is done.
Let me understand this the best i can, and move on with my lifeā€¦

ā€¦and see what/how best i can do next. "

If that is indeed how you are approaching this, then kudos to you!
And good luck in all of your future endeavors.
