Yeah, the associations (including us) have been requesting, but I doubt anything will happen.

In 90s brokers controlled whole market, now even sebi is doing powerplay with them.

I think instead of completely killing leverage Brokerage firms should try for 5 times leverage across the board. SEBI should be warned about the tax short fall that is going to happen due to no leverage in Futures. Only big players will do the trade in Futures and they are every scrawny with paying taxes
