BSDA account conversion

can I convert my current demat account with zerodha to a BSDA account?
what is the procedure?
what will be the charges?

You don’t have to do anything. If your account is eligible on the billing date your account will automatically be converted to a BSDA account. More here.

my account is eligible for bsda… but still i have charged amc. why?

is holding value is more than Rs.50000? and do u have two demat account?

holding in bsda should be less than 200k, not 50k, please check.
& I only have one demat account.

I think you will be charged AMC.

Charges: The Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) structure for BSDA shall be on a slab basis; if the value of holding is
(i) upto Rs. 50,000 ther will be NIL AMC and
(ii) for value of holding from Rs 50,001 to Rs 200,000 AMC will be upto Rs. 100

Yes! i have contacted zerodha… they said the excess amount which is debited will be refunded…
I think I will be charged 100₹
