Does the buy and hold strategy work even today ???
Yes, It do works great with Large Caps stocks. Buy and hold minimize the loss, if you have done little research before taking any position.
Buy and Hold can be very risky in overly exposed Small & Mid Cap portfolio.
It works decently for stocks companies which have growth potential. And also for fundamentally good stocks too.
But at times stocks with good fundamentals may not show any movement for months.
So it also depends alot upon momentum associated with stocks & any news event which may trigger positive movement.
