Buy new positions after selling the holding same day

Hello,

I have a question on selling my holding on T+3 day and buying it back.
Although there are so many topics around, but still required some clarity. Request for help.

Was going though the link Selling old holding shares and Buying same shares on same day in CNC?

Based on that, if below is my scenario:

Holdings :

| date | price | qty | | |
|-------------------------|--------|-----|---|---|
| “2017-01-04 12:08:00.0” | 699.86 | 175 | | |

After few day if I ma selling my holdings and below are the trades. ANd in teh same day I purchased one more.

| date | | price | qty |
|-------------------------|------|--------|-----|
| “2017-01-18 12:08:00.0” | SELL | 736.6 | 175 |
| “2017-01-18 14:39:00.0” | BUY | 730.69 | 16 |

Q: How is the profit calculated, as there is going to be an intraday trade too here.
Q: Would there be any holding still left or not and what would be the avg price in the holding.

Request for help.

As per the FIFO (First In First Out) method, 16 quantity sold and bought on 2017-01-18 would be considered as Intraday.

(16 * 736.6) - (16 * 730.69) = Rs 94.56 Intraday profit.

Also, the remaining 159 (175-16) quantity sold on 2017-01-18 should be matched with the holdings.

(736.6 * 159) - (699.86 * 159) = Rs 5841.66 Short term profit.

16 quantity remain in your holdings with the buy average of Rs 699.86.
