Can I link a joint bank a/c to Zerodha a/c held on single name

I want to open a zerodha a/c on single name. However, the bank a/c is a joint one.
Can I link the bank a/c in this case?

In case of joint accounts, the first holder’s name is considered. If that name matches with Zerodha a/c it should work. Taxability is also considered for the first holder only.
