Hi, I want to buy specific stocks at a particular time during market hours on Kite at market price. I know Stock SIP allows scheduled recurring purchases, but I do not want to set up a SIP.
Is there a way in Kite to schedule a one-time buy order for a specific stock or basket of stocks at a specific time (for example, 10:15 AM)? I’m looking through Kite app interface and not using apis etc.
Hey Prashanth, currently we don’t have an option to schedule a one-time buy order for a specific stock or basket at a particular time. We’ve noted your feedback.
If you have a specific price in mind, you can use a GTT order. It stays active for up to 365 days and gets triggered once the stock reaches your set price, after which the limit or market order is placed.
You can also check out ATO (Alert Triggers Order). For example, you can set a condition based on an index and link it to a basket of stocks. Once the condition is met, the orders will be placed automatically.
Just sharing these as a couple of options you can explore
For more details on GTT, you can check this: How to place a GTT order on Kite
For ATO, you can check this: What is ATO and how to use it
Hi, thanks response. Actually the reason is I wanted to place liquidcase market order once market opens like AMO. But keeping that would mean buying at opening price where my order can execute at unintented price. So I thought of scheduling around 9:30 when the market settles. As of now sip would suffice, once it executes I’ll delete the sip.
