I bought shares on one day before the ex date of a company
Eg. Ex date 19/05/2020
I bought on 18/05/2020
Even if I sell on ex date do I get the dividend…
Pls answer
You will be entitled to the dividend since you’ve purchased the shares cum-dividend. However, these shares will be delivered to your broker and the stockbroker will need to keep these shares in the pool account since you’ve sold on T+1 date. As a result, your stockbroker will receive the credit of the dividends which he can then credit to your ledger. Read more.
