Probably you are reversal trader and have different money management trading in equity space. I said this based on my results trading crude oil barrel in MCX. I only traded trends and positioned my size according to risk. At maximum if excel sheet has continuous -2% * 6 times them it’s game over.

There is basically not even an ounce of difference if you are working 12 hour job or stuck behind a screen for more than 14 hours everyday. Remember slabs are same.

Now if you mean 30 lpa. Well 15 lpa is fixed rest are esops mostly. Well atleast you can have them as liquidbees or invest elsewhere. It’s not same as f&o income.

Frankly I value my time and give importance to that more than what I can make. Perspective might differ. As I said before better to have balance in life

Well these are the dogmas i would like to see change in current social norms. People are just getting divided into two poles. BJP/congress/Aap or Dhoni/Virat or even Sharukh/Salman and endless poles and endless debates. If anyone don’t belong to my group or is different idealogy that means he is also opposition. Its Nature who has created diversity and accepting differences is the only way for harmony, not by creating unnecessary bisases and poles. Everyone has some good things to take inspiration from and some thing to just ignore, i just follow this thought process and based on current point in time decision making based on facts i take insipration ,not an ardent follower of anyone.People changes as well as thoughts.

hmm…dogma isn’t appropriate to use here, as someone at the beginning of learning will always fall short on right judgment.

Yes, it can be if you have enough capital to begin with and some savings set aside to support yourself during the learning period. It will take time for you to become a profitable trader and earn a living from trading alone. But if you have a plan, then just go ahead and prepare well. All the best!

Yes sure can become

But PLAN B should be there.

I personally feel acc to my experience while learning the market one should have side income so daily expenses are not a problem…

Yes, trading can be a full time career, but only if you have earned enough amount of assets and made a passive income source. Trading is there to increase capital, but you have to earn capital before growing it.

People do have trading as their full-time careers but it has not always been like that for them either. You either need to have savings that will help you make a living or get a job to support your living and trading. You need time and money to trade. So, don’t rush into making a decision and obtain some market experience until you are sure about trading full-time.

stick to your 9-5 job. Forget trading.

why so ?

Have you managed to maintain a regular income of profit? If yes, then go ahead. If you haven’t yet, then take some time and work towards generating consistent profit. Once you get that in order, you will be ready to switch to full time trading. Although it allows you financial freedom, you need to understand the market sentiment extremely well to survive.

some of my friends who are regular trader always ask me to avoid OPTIONS trading …
ACcording to them its worst instrument in trading

Is it so >

It’s the riskiest instrument in trading. Not the worst. There is a lot of difference.

If someone else has to answer this question for you, then you better don’t move to full-time trading. It’s risky to depend on your uncertain earnings through trading. It’s best to remain a part-timer.

I started trading Options last month. As there was so much volatility and loosing premium i felt it is not a good thing to trade in Index options.
I thought Stock options is better when compared to Index and today i understood stock options expiry will be in form of shares which requires huge amount of funds.
I just wonder how people do option trading in both cases.

If you’re sole breadwinner of the family, it’s not else you can go for it.

Unless you are a seasoned trader with extraordinary trading skills, you should consider part-time trading. Part-time trading provides you with the flexibility to do other things, too, like your job or your business or any other thing that you are currently doing without risking your career or life. But in full-time trading, you have to have a plan B in case you fail to become a full-time trader.

Making a career in trading is quite difficult. That is not an easy job. In a job you always know the amount you will make at the end of the month. But in case of trading, you cannot be certain or even know what you will make at the end of the month or whether you will make any money or not. This makes it a difficult job.
