Short Selling is allowed in zerodha on intraday basis, meaning you can sell shares without having them in your demat account and later within the day you need to buy back and close your trade. If you dont buy back manually, it will be automatcially bought by zerodha instead of you at around 3:20 pm.
You need to use MIS, CO, BO product codes.
Short selling and carry over for next day is not available in zerodha.

Yes MIS multiplier will work in short selling also.
Also Cover Order gives very high leverage as high as 22 multiple times for stock buy and sell, but you should set some compulsory stop loss.
