I know that we are not allowed to trade in as a retail trader in foreign markets but I came across this interview of zerodha of a 60 day challenge winner(read here) and he mentioned that he traded US markets from here in India I want to know how is this possible was this regulation not in place at that time orsomething else ?
I think He was staying in US at that time.
Ya since he was there, he obviously had an account, he traded in that I think. But for a Resident Indian it’s not possible.

You can invest in foreign markets, but you cannot trade using margin account. Check this link for further info:
