Change in redemption cycle for equity mutual funds to T+2 days

As Indian equity markets move to the T+1 settlement cycle from today for all stocks and listed instruments on the exchanges like ETFs, bonds, REITs, and InvITs. The AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) has announced the change in the redemption payment cycle to T+2 days for the equity mutual fund schemes from February 1, 2023, onwards. Currently, the settlement cycle for redemption requests for equity MFs is T+3 days.

  • The above change will be applicable to all the transactions received before the cut-off time on 1st February and processed at closing NAV on 1st February.

  • The redemption requests are already settled on T+1 day for debt mutual fund schemes.
