No circuit limits for F&O stocks.

When a stock hits the circuit limit, what happens to its corresponding future? What happens to option premiums?

All stocks which trade on F&O don't have any circuit limits. So the stock price and F&O price, can move as much. Remember Satyam, it had dropped more than 85% in one day, no circuit was hit.  But there are market wide circuit breakers for index movement, 10% entire market is shut for 1hour, 15% shut for 2 hours and 20%, market is closed for the rest of the day. Check this.

Infibeam is a FnO stock. There’s no limit on how much a Future and Option stock can fall in a trading session.

thank you for the answer. any idea why stocks listed in F&O segment have no circuit limits?
