Demat account & Bank Account has any relationship?

I want to close a Bank Account of mine. When i initially opened my Trading & Demat account i had linked this bank account. Now that I have changed my Broker and have open a new Trading account, i also linked a different Bank account. But i have mapped that Demat account here as i do only intraday trades.

now the question is if i close tht bank account, does it affect demat account in any way ? I hv no idea if a bank account is linked to demat or no… .

If you are holding stocks in this demat account and if there is any dividend given, they get credited to the mapped bank account. If you have no stocks, doesn’t matter.
