Discrepancy while uploading Zerodha Tax P&L on Quicko

The investments where STT in not paid such as Debt ETFs, Gold ETFs and International ETFs, they are taxed differently from domestic equity investments. So, when I try to upload the same on @Quicko, even the gains from these ETFs are classified as STCG from domestic equity investments and are put under the 15% tax slab, whereas they should be taxed as per the slab rate.

Is there a fix for it? The question is both for the Quicko team and the Zerodha team which manages the Tax P&L on Console.

Hello, @Suyash.K

When you enter into the transaction there you’ll get an option to select the type of security. As you change the type of security it will be correctly classified and tax will be calculated accordingly.

Hope this helps!
