DMART Price Band

Hi Nitin,

I read an article in Business Standard that the reason Dmart opened @ a 100% premium (600rs, compared to a Bid price of 299) is because of the “pre-open call auction”

Fact that a share originally worth 299, is trading for 600, means that someone somewhere has put in $ and brought the share’s value to 600, isn’t it?

In the above example, How can I buy shares, when the share is still journeying from 299rs to 600rs ?
For example, buy Dmart at 400rs or 500rs etc.

I understand that pre-market orders (9am - 9:08am), don’t apply to IPO shares on opening day.

Then what’s the answer to my query?
