yes Debt funds usually have a lock-in period. Debt schemes again are of different categories

  • Liquid funds - no lock-in 
  • Short term income funds - no lock-in
  • Medium term income funds - no lock-in
  • Income funds - lock-in 
  • GILT funds - lock-in
  • Short term floating rate funds - no lock-in
  • Long term floating rate funds - lock-in
