Does mutual funds have to pay any tax on selling stocks, dividends etc.? Or are these taxes already factored in the NAV?
I’m not asking about whether we will be charged. Are MF companies charged taxes on sick market actions?
No. Mutual Funds are exempt from paying taxes on capital gains (selling shares) and dividends. They do have to pay STT, tax on brokerage, and other such taxes.
