Doing SHORT selling - more than 1 day

Hello experts -

I do “Short Selling” but only with Intraday. What if I want to do Short selling for more than 1 day. I know Zerodha support MIS only for a 1 day but is there any other product / solution within Stock Market where I can do short selling for more than 1 day e.g. for 1-2 weeks.

All MIS orders with Zerodha are valid only for 1 day and all open positions with MIS product type are automatically squared off at 3:20pm.

However, some brokers do have a facility to carry forward MIS short sell positions.

You can also have the same short sell strategy working on 172 FnO stock by:

  1. Short Sell futures with product type NRML.

  2. BUY Puts with product type NRML

  3. Short sell Calls with product type NRML

what is a difference between below 2 ? both are mentioning about the drop in stock price…when to use which option ?
