Discount brokers, especially Zerodha, have made an impact on other brokers too. Today kotak has come out with 999rs per year flat fee for all intraday trades. Not sure about delivery trades.
Hope sharekhan and other brokers will follow the same.
Give credit to people like Zerodha who have changed the dynamics of the broking industry.

My father told me in early 90s brokerss used to charge on percentage basis on trades. Now Zerodha deserves to be appreciated for bringing revolution in broking business. I believe one day all brokers have to follow the same way to survive. But they all are still used to fleece money from retail participants.
