Equity sell TPIN requirement

I and a couple of my friends who have recently created a Zerodha account are asked for TPIN to sell any share in the holding. While some of my friends who had opened the account a few years back are not asked for TPIN to sell their shares.

Can someone please explain why it is asked only a few people?

For accounts opened after November 2019, submitting POA wasn’t mandatory that is why all accounts opened after November 2019 have to use CDSL TPIN to sell shares from their account, while those opened earlier don’t.

Is it possible to cancel the signed POA?

It is possible, to do so you will have to send POA revocation letter.

Can u plz give more details? Letter format? whom to send it to?
