Hi can i exit my option position by buying back, let say i sell a put option and also buy a lower strick price put option (i.e. selling put spread) of a weekly nifty option, Can i exit this position before the expiration date and also when can i exit it.
and also please explain me of both weekly and monthly exit (and how it works)
You can exit your open option positions any time you want before the expiration date or else if you not then it will be cash / physically settled for the index / stock options at the expiration.
In the above scenario, you can exit your short put by buy it back and your long put by selling it any time before the expiration or else it will be cash settled… For the above scenario exit your short put first then the long put position.
