I have purchased 100 alok industry share in 2008 at face value of 10. In Jan2020 FV has been reduced from 10 to 1. If I want to sell all 100 share today at current market price of 45 what amount will i get.
Current price is 45, so you will get 45 * 100 = 4500.
when the FV changed to 10 from 1 ; wasn’t there any change in your quantity holding from 100 to 1000 ?
There wasn’t any Bonus issue of Split in Alok Industries. They went bankrupt and after restructuring they had their equity capital reduced so all the shareholders holding the shares had their investment value reduced by 90% to Face Value of 1 from 10.
