1] Add a flag to mutual fund schemes that are accepted by the Clearing Corporation as pledge holdings.
2] A check-box which when checked authorises Zerodha to automatically send pledge request to CDSL once the purchase, additional purchase or SIP units are received in users demat account. The user then has to accept the pledge request on CDSL.
We have intentionally reduced the visibility of the concept of pledging everywhere at Zerodha. We don’t want people who don’t know what pledging is to discover what it is. It isn’t good for most customers to pledge securities to trade F&O.
