GTT clarification needed

How to get rid of % of LTP and enter a certain price for limit order in GTT? Actually I am getting % of LTP but I want to put actual price myself.
@ShubhS9

If you’re placing GTT order through Order window, you can only place in % terms. Alternatively, you can place the GTT order separately to place in absolute numbers.

Thanks @ShubhS9 for your kind reply.

Can I modify GTT limit price after placing it from order window? I hope it will be displayed in GTT window after execution of order? Isn’t it?

Thanks.

After placing GTT order, if it is not triggered yet, you can modify both Trigger as well as Price from the GTT order window.

If the GTT is triggered, and order is not executed it’ll show as pending in the orders tab, you can modify it from there. If the order is executed it’ll show as completed in orders tab.

Hi, based on my experience what happened last week, I placed one GTT order to exit the position my order was triggered but pending for executing and after that I was not able to modify the sell price, neither I was able to cancel it so I end up exiting the position at lower price. Any thoughts on how to modify or cancelled a GTT order once it’s triggered ?

A GTT order remains active on the broker’s terminal until the trigger price is reached. Once the trigger price is hit, a limit order is placed on the exchange.
So you cannot modify or cancel a triggered GTT, but you can modify or cancel the corresponding limit order through the ‘Open Orders’ section.
