@vishnux , you did in understand , RISK is always hide in TRADE , Investement , in every movement in life , so we always try to learn to manage the risk , better than try to escape , liquid fund also have same risk dont tell there is no risk , 2 years back dsp liquid fund has also drops the same percentage and some other fund also follows has hitted .we dont know how the risk will come to us , its will come into us in any kind of form
in this world , TRADING is the highest risky business in this world , but lot of people consistently making profit and running a life , they knows risk is there , they learn how to mange the risk , i am in the risky business more than 10 year + , i know the risk involved , but i learn more how to mange the risk
Exchanges don’t recognize any bracket orders, MIS, CNC, etc. For them all order types is only of one kind. These other product types are built on top by brokerage firms.
If in case there was a tech issue and bracket order didn’t get squared off by the broker, at the exchanges it will be treated as a normal order end of the day. So if you had a BO sell position and it didn’t square off, at end of the day for the exchange it will be as good as a sell delivery order.
In this case, the buy leg got initiated at 3.23 and the sell leg was left pending until 4.24.
Never seen anything like that ever.
I had 7 minutes to attempt an exit but it was not allowing me to as it said Intraday orders blocked by Risk.
At 4.24, the target and stop loss was auto cancelled and I was told that liquidity issues caused them to accept a BO after 3.15 and for lack of buyers, my order had to stay naked.
This happened to me last week.
My intention in raising it to you instead of anywhere else is because you are not obligated to play the devils advocate and I can get a better perspective from a trader turned broker.
Can the Broker say that the trader is solely responsible for all technology issues per the fine print, instead of diving into the details to help alleviate further risks embedded within the system?
I thank you for replying and look forward to a second response
