Hedge against Investment Cash Holding

For example, Coal India future Lot qty is 2700 shares.
If I hold this Coal India shares 2700 qty in cash for investment, can I short Coal India Future for hedge without any margin?

Margin is required, you can pledge stocks and get collateral and use 50% of that and bring 50% in cash of total required margin to short coal india future.
