I am hearing news about LIC shares making gains in grey market.

I am curious how does it work? If someone wants to buy shares in grey market, how do they proceed? Likewise how do you sell your share?

Is their physical paper share or demat involved in the process?

As the name suggests, It’s a “grey” area.
