We get to know the % or the weightage of share a fund holds… but can we know exact number of shares a fund holds and total liabilities of fund … so that we can calculate exact NAV ourselves
You can download the monthly portfolio disclosures from the AMC’s website. It will have the quantity as well.
You could also use Trendlyne website for finding the exact quantity of shares (Example Mutual fund). It allows exporting that data as well -
But one downside of Trendlyne is that it only gives information about Equity. For information about Bond holdings, you can check Morningstar website (Example Mutual fund) -
Where do these fund houses declare liabilities of these funds ?? Is there a way to know about this … basically we want to calculate NAV ourselves !
