how to know whether a company is a midcap company or largecap or smallcap? if someone names a stock, how to find out whether this stock is midcap company or largecap or smallcap?

No standard rule here, but this should help you set some guidelines -

Market cap of -

Large cap > 25K Cr
Midcap = 12 - 25K Cr
Small cap = 2 -12K Cr
Microcap = Less than 2K Cr
