How to Redeem ELSS Regular & Invent in same ELSS in Direct Zerodha

I have Axis Long term Regular ELSS fund in mutual fund holded for 1 year. Now zerodha provided option to invest direct fund instead of regular. So stopped SIP for Regular fund and Created new SIP on Direct fund.

Will it be possible to redeem regular fund 1 yr amount and invest in direct fund. Or shall i have to wait till lock 3 yr period and after 3 years i have to redeem. Could any one plz clarify on this.

Hi Hemant,

You would have to actually wait till the lock-in period is over and then only will you be able to redeem the units.
