You cannot trade the index, only the stocks listed on it.

if you want to invest you can invest in index funds
but in case of trading, choose stocks which has maximum waitageas (more than 5%) in a particular index,
and trade those stock with analyzing their data.

There is no index fund for BSE SME!

i told to trade in stocks in a index you want to trade, didn’t gave a specific name
