Huge Discount in Nifty June Futures

What can be deduced by 100 points discount in the Nifty June futures at the start of the expiry, that too when the markets are so bullish ?

Two things can be attributed to this situation.

  1. May be many Nifty companies are going to give dividends, once dividend is given price of that stock will be reduced by that amount theoretically, this in turn is discounted in futures price.
  2. Many are bearish considering the current situation,global markets and two major events are awaiting for this weekend.
    a) Indian GDP numbers along with other stats.
    b) Trumph media conference on actions he is going to take on China.
