Sounds like another one of those shady crypto coin launched by some random guys. 
IMF recently unveiled their new global currency known as UNICOIN or “Universal Monetary Unit”.
On a serious note, this announcement seems interesting for two reasons.

Timing of it with all the talk about dollar decline.

Considering the perception of how west leaning all these international organizations are, why would they want one digital currency for all the nations.
